About
Marriage and sex were central to the lives of most women, and men, in medieval Ireland.
This lecture uses the records of an Irish church court to throw light on Irish women's intimate relationships with men, both blessed and sinful, in the time of Henry VIII. Human nature, it seems, has not changed a great deal in 500 years.
