About
This Easter, the Walled City Passion returns for its fifth year with a bold and thought-provoking new perspective: the story of Judas.
Walled City Passion is a modern telling of the Easter story set on the famous City Walls, looking at the story, issues and themes which are still as relevant today as they were 2,000 years ago. Step into a story you think you know, told from a perspective you haven't questioned...yet.
This year, Judas is placed at the centre of the story, as we witness the moments before the betrayal - the pressure, the persuasion, and Judas' belief that he was doing the right thing.
The open-air performance will begin at the Diocesan Centre on London Street, before moving through a series of historic locations on the city walls, including St Columb’s Cathedral, St Augustine’s Church, and First Derry Presbyterian Church on Upper Magazine Street.
Patrons are asked to be at the Diocesan Centre 15 minutes prior to the show.
