Pioneering singer, songwriter and guitarist John Smith has been a leading voice in British folk and roots music for two decades. With over 125 million Spotify streams, he has toured the world, opened for the late John Martyn, and collaborated with artists including Lisa Hannigan, The Staves, Sarah Jarosz, Patty Griffin, Joan Baez, David Gray, Tom Jones and Jackson Browne.
His new album Gatherings revisits and reimagines standout songs from his first three records — shaped and evolved across more than 2,000 live shows. Featuring guest appearances from Lisa Hannigan, The Staves, Siobhan Miller, Dan Mangan, Adam Levy and Nick Pini, the album is produced by John and mixed by Ryan Freeland.
