About

Tá Cleamairí Ard Mhacha ar cheann de na grúpaí is mó clú agus cáil ar oileán na hÉireann ó thaobh an cheoil thraidisiúnta agus na hamharclannaíochta de. Ón am ar bunaíodh an eagraíocht sna 1970idí, tá scoileanna agus féilte ar fud na hÉireann agus an domhain i ndiaidh sult agus pléisiúr a bhaint as a gcuid seónna. Tríd an cheol, an scéalaíocht agus an drámaíocht, cuireann siad eispéireas ar fáil atá siamsúil, oideachasúil agus cultúrtha. Spreagann a gcuid feistis daite mothúcháin a théann siar sa stair agus sa traidisiún, agus léiríonn siad spiorad Lucht an Dreoilín agus spiorad an airneáil tí a bhíodh ann fadó in Éirinn, an áit a ndéantaí stáitse den chistin!

Clamairí Ard Mhacha a chruthaigh an léiriú speisialta seo do Lá Fhéile Bríde mar chuid dár gceiliúradh Lá Fhéile Bríde, agus is meascán iontach é de cheol, amhránaíocht, filíocht, scéalaíocht agus drámaíocht don teaghlach uilig.

The Armagh Rhymers is one of the most celebrated traditional music and theatre ensembles on the island of Ireland. Since the organisation was founded in the 1970s, they have delighted audiences in schools, festivals throughout Ireland and around the world. Through music, storytelling and drama, they provide an experience that is entertaining, educational and cultural. Their colourful costumes evoke a sense of tradition and history and encapsulate the spirit of the Wren boys and the ancient house visiting traditions of Ireland, where the kitchen floor became the stage.

This special Brigid’s Day performance has been created by the Armagh Rhymers as part of our Brigid’s Day celebrations and is an exciting mixture of music, song, poetry, storytelling and drama for the whole family.
