Derry Donegal Creative Collection is a new collaborative showcase bringing together artists, makers and creatives from across Derry and Donegal for six days at the beautiful Garden of Reflection Gallery on Bishop Street, Derry.
Taking place from 23rd–28th October, the event celebrates the wealth of creative talent found across the North West and provides a welcoming space where local creativity can be discovered, enjoyed and supported.
Visitors can expect an eclectic collection of work from participating creatives, including original art, prints, craft and locally designed and made pieces. With different styles, disciplines and ideas brought together under one roof, the collection aims to reflect the variety and individuality of the creative community on both sides of the Derry–Donegal border.
The idea behind Derry Donegal Creative Collection is simple: create, connect and belong. Inspired by the friendly, collaborative atmosphere of independent makers' markets and artist collectives, the event is about more than simply displaying work. It is an opportunity for creatives to come together, share what they do and introduce their work to new audiences.
For visitors, it is a chance to discover local artists and makers, find something original, perhaps pick up a unique piece for the home or a special gift, and support independent creativity within the region.
