About

The Fully Automatic Model Biography

Based in Derry, Ireland, electronic music composer and performer The Fully Automatic Model is widely known for his fascination of sculpting sound via modular synths, tape machines, DIY instruments and feedback / distortion circuits.  Musically, you can expect anything from Ambient shows on top of a mountain to IDM & Techno performances in world class clubs.

Visually, TFAM has been experimenting with cutting edge technology and Generative Art for years, to create a truly unique visual toolkit that takes his live performance into a full audio visual experience like no other.

Each performance aims to encapsulate the idea that everything is constantly ebbing and flowing and these cycles alternate and constantly influence sound, movement, life and the rhythm of everything.

Accompanying acts

Seaplanes

Seaplanes are brothers David & Graham Ginty. Born out of lockdown, the pair started to send musical ideas back and forth via Dropbox, and it soon became clear that a wealth of material was coming from long hours stuck at home, with nothing to do but run samples through a range of guitar pedals to see what would happen. Their sound was born of those sessions, merging electronica, post-rock and drone, with tracks that flow from lulling ambience to soaring crescendos all in the same space.

Pauric Freeman

Pauric Freeman is an Irish new media artist working with sound, video, and installation. His audiovisual performances focus on the relationships between sonic and visual media, exploring the boundaries of cognition and human sensory perception. Inspired by digital environments and our interactions with technology, he develops generative visual systems that respond live to the varying rhythms and textures in his music. He has performed and exhibited work in Ireland, the UK, Germany, the US and Australia.

Michael Mc Elroy

Michael McElroy is an electronic musician who has been part of the Celtronic line up since 2018.

With two albums under his belt (Aviating and Time & Tide) he’s currently working on his third called Electric Island, which is due for release later this year. It’s a homage to the country of Iceland and Michael will be performing live versions of four tracks, namely AuroraMountainsWaterfalls and New Day Begins.  The tracks will be performed alongside  video images of Iceland.
