Bat and Moth Event at Faughan Valley

Red Brae Wood Car Park, Faughan Valley Woodlands, Derry~Londonderry, Derry~Londonderry, BT47 3SN
Bat and Moth Event

About

This event, led by one of our expert volunteers, is a fantastic opportunity to get to know the wide variety of bats and moths that have made their home in the Faughan Valley.

Weather permitting, we'll first of all meet at 8pm at Red Brae Car Park where we'll get to see some fascinating moths up close and learn all about them.

As the sky starts to darken we'll make our way down the hill to explore a few of the favourite spots where our local bats like to hang out. You'll get to learn about the seven different species of bat that live locally, and you'll be able to help us count how many we can identify in one night.

In the event of poor weather conditions, the event may be pushed back to the following day, but we will monitor and update you if this is the case.
