About

Enjoy an evening of choral music in the surroundings of the Guildhall.

The Humanist Choir have existed as a choir for more than 30 years in Bergen, on the west coast of Norway. Under the wings of the Norwegian Humanist Association. They have 28 members singing in four parts and love to sing..... and perform!

Their repertoire consists of different humanist songs about life, in good times and in times of trouble. Serious songs with quality lyrics--- with the message to live a good life and create good social relations between humans.

We hope to provide you with a lovely and meaningful experience.

Voices of the Foyle are a mixed voice contemporary choir based in the heart of Derry-Londonderry. Lead by Musical Director Ruth McPhillips, the group perform regularly at local & national events. They are noted for their unique renditions of well known classics as well creative arrangements & ‘mashups’ of unlikely pairings. The group are proud to support local charities and are happy to embrace a “together” culture, celebrating our diverse community & the depth of talent locally.

Ruth McPhillips is a notable name within music industry of the North West of Ireland. Having studied locally, Ruth has travelled extensively over the years, performing and connecting with other musicians further afield. Ruth enjoys creating unique performances with Voices of Foyle & looks forward to sharing the stage with their soon to be Norwegian friends soon!
