About

Deadly Dinner: A Night of Murder, Mystery, and Mixology.

In collaboration with the NI Science Festival and Love Legenderry Month, prepare yourself for an evening where science meets suspense, and every sip could be your last…

Join us at the Walled City Brewery for Deadly Dinner — a night of thrills, chills, and dangerously delicious delights. This is no ordinary dining experience. Expect eerie elegance, curious concoctions, and a feast that might just keep you on edge until the very last bite.

At the heart of the evening is our host, Dr. Kathryn Harkup — acclaimed chemist, writer, and expert in the deadly and the delectable. Known for her razor-sharp wit and fascination with fatal formulas, Kathryn will lead you deep into the world of poisonous plots and murderous mysteries. From strychnine-laced soup to champagne with a cyanide twist, she’ll reveal the sinister science behind some of crime fiction’s most ingenious killings — and a few true tales that might make you think twice before your next toast.

Joining her is Master Brewer James Huey, the creative force behind Walled City Brewery, who will craft the perfect liquid accompaniments for this intoxicating evening.

Together, they’ll pair three exquisite courses with specialty drinks, each designed to intrigue your taste buds — and perhaps test your nerves.

As the courses unfold, expect laughter, learning, and a touch of lingering unease. Between every delicious dish lies a story — of chemistry, cunning, and cold-blooded creativity.
