Buncrana Christmas Market returns to Swan Park, Buncrana, Co. Donegal, from Friday 27 November to Sunday 13 December 2026, bringing 17 days of festive shopping, food, music and family fun.
With FREE general admission, families and friends can enjoy the Christmas atmosphere in the beautiful surroundings of Swan Park. It's a lovely reason to plan a festive outing to Buncrana or include a visit during a winter break in the North West.
Explore traditional timber cabins offering handmade crafts, Christmas gifts and a delicious selection of food. A dedicated seating area provides somewhere to enjoy refreshments, while daily live music adds to the festive atmosphere.
Younger visitors can enjoy children's rides, while sparkling displays and giant Christmas props offer plenty of opportunities for family photographs. Snow machines bring snowy surprises, and the Grinch's House and appearances from its mischievous resident promise plenty of laughter. More festive announcements will be shared through the market's social media channels.
NEW FOR 2026: SANTA'S ENCHANTED FOREST ELF TRAIL
Join Santa's elves on a magical guided walking adventure through the woodland of Swan Park. Follow twinkling lights past little elf houses and snowy scenes before arriving at Santa's Enchanted Log Cabin.
Families can share their Christmas wishes with Santa, with a gift included for every child and baby holding the appropriate ticket. One Santa experience ticket per person includes both the Enchanted Forest Elf Trail and the visit to Santa's Log Cabin.
The Santa experience is exclusively for ticket holders and is charged separately from the free-entry market. Places per session are limited, so advance booking is recommended.
