A Derry Queer Open Mic (or ADQOM) is a new open mic night at the Playhouse in Derry. It's a bi-monthly free and sober event. We created this night fuelled by the lack of creative spaces for experimentation and collaboration. Derry is a city with no scratch nights, very few music and spoken word open mics, and even less spaces for queer creatives to feel centred in comedy, cabaret, and even more. We want to give queer art a space year round, not just segregated to one week of the year.
