About

The Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend is a family friendly showcase and celebration of farming and the food industry across Northern Ireland.

As part of the Open Farm Weekend, Brook Hall Estate & Gardens will be opening for this free to enter event on Saturday 15th – Sunday 16th June 2024. Explore the working farm, meet the farmers, and enjoy a range of activities for all ages.

Brook Hall Estate & Gardens has been farmed by the Gilliland family for six generations since 1858. Brook Hall was the first farm in the UK & Ireland to commercially farm willow for biomass for renewable heat, and in now one of the leading research farms for sustainable agriculture in Europe.

Over the weekend, we will also be joined by the Woodland Trust, Acorn Farm, Derry & District Bee Keeping Association, Foyle Food Group and many more sharing fun activities for families to enjoy.

On Sunday, we are excited to welcome the Naturally North Coast & Glens roaming artisan market with a range of local artisan traders selling local food, produce, arts and crafts.
