Fan of the hit Channel 4 tv comedy series that has become a global sensation on Netflix? Want to feel like you are part of the gang? Then come visit the home of Derry Girls and see where the magic (and madness) all started!

This two-day itinerary is packed with things to do across the Walled City; providing you with the ultimate ‘Derry Girls’ weekend! From visiting filming locations to enjoying some of the iconic costumes, a visit to Derry~Londonderry is a must for any fan of the show!

Day One

12pm – Screen Tour

Lights, camera, action! Walk in the footsteps of your favourite characters and visit some of the most iconic filming locations across the city on one of the Derry Girls Screen Walking Tours that are available.

1.30pm - Sweet Treat

After all that walking, you deserve a little sweet treat. Take yourself off to Doherty’s Bakery and pick up Granda Joes treat of choice – a Cream horn!

3pm – The Guildhall

Next, head off to explore our City Hall. Situated overlooking the City Walls, the Guildhall was a key figure in the show as the backdrop to the famous Bill Clinton visit as well as the location of where Orla received her Electoral Card.

5pm – Dinner

Head across the Peace Bridge to the Walled City Brewery where you can enjoy some delicious food and sample some of their popular home brews – including some inspired by our Derry Girls.

Day Two

10am – Walk the City Walls

No visit to Derry is complete without a walk on our City Walls, “sure they are nothing short of spectacular.”  You can stroll these at your own pace, or join a guided tour.

11.30am - Selfie Time

Next stop, the Derry Girls Mural! Commissioned by Channel 4 and completed by local artists at UV Arts – you just must get a selfie with the characters that made you laugh and cry!

12.30pm - Lunch Time

After exploring the Walls you will have worked up an appetite and so this is the perfect time to take yourself off to Fiorentini’s for their famous fish & chips! The only question is, is four bags of chips really enough?

2.00pm - The Ultimate Experience

Step into the Tower Museum and visit the Derry Girls Experience. Check out original memorabilia from the show, like Erin’s diary, Aunt Sarah’s legendary pyjamas, and Ma Mary’s Woolworths sweater. Oh, and let’s not forget the Spice Girls costumes! Step into the Quinn’s household set and experience family chaos at its finest. And if you’re a Sister Michael fan (let’s face it, who isn’t?), make sure your sit in her chair and give your best eye-roll to anyone who dares to bother you.

4.00pm - Shopping

Finally, it is time to pick up some official merchandise to bring home! Call into our Visitor Information Centre and pick up everything Derry Girls from keyrings to t-shirts!
