Drawing on his experience of over 20 years in the film (Game of Thrones, Pirates of the Caribbean) and theatre industries (English National Opera, National Theatre London), artist Enda Kenny will guide you through the process of making a bespoke handstitched and punched leather satchel in this two-day course.
Working with vegetable-tanned leather, you will learn how to hand cut and dye leather to your chosen colour, creating stitching holes and saddle stitching the satchel using waxed thread. For a beautiful, refined finish you will seal the leather to make your satchel waterproof and add straps for the perfect fit.
All materials are included. Please wear old clothing or an apron to cover up as we will be using leather dyes / pigments.
