About

An original play by Jane Coyle, inspired by the writing of Samuel Beckett. Directed by Nathalie Allison

In a Paris café, a young woman observes life on the street outside. Many passers-by appear to be carrying a dark secret or private tragedy. She has her own troubling story and fears it may soon be revealed.

In Nice, a glamorous older woman is drinking alone while casting an eye over the bar's clientele. She recalls leaving Belfast for a bohemian life in France and shares memories of a painful personal loss.

Stella and Estelle. Two lives. Two stories. Separated yet connected.

This intriguing play by Belfast playwright Jane Coyle successfully toured Northern Ireland in 2017. This new version by Alchemy Theatre received its European premiere in Paris in September 2024.

Irish actresses Mia Leahy and Hannah Coyle play the central roles.

'The writing is sublime; the characters will break your heart.' Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival
