About
Hidden behind farmhouses and thatched houses, you'll find the last remaining plot of raised bog at the Ulster American Folk Park.
The Folk Park Curator will tell you about the social history of the bog in Ireland and how essential it was for livelihoods and home heating. Then, hear from Ulster Wildlife and The Conservation Volunteers about bog restoration and how this plot is slowly being transformed into a carbon sink to help fight climate change.
Roll up your sleeves and get involved with important conservation work. Be sure to wear your wellies and be prepared to get stuck in!
