Museum of Free Derry

Free Admission for Locals and Half Price for Students!

The Museum of Free Derry shares the story of the civil rights movement, Bloody Sunday and the community’s struggle for justice and equality through personal accounts, artefacts and immersive exhibitions.

From Monday 1 June to Monday 31 August 2026, local residents can enjoy FREE admission every Monday, while students receive HALF PRICE entry. Walk-ins only – offer not available for online bookings.

Located in the heart of the Bogside, the museum offers visitors the opportunity to reflect on the events that shaped how Derry and Ireland are today.
