State-of-the-art Visitor Information Centre opens in city centre

Today marked the opening of Derry’s new state-of-the-art Visitor Information Centre at Waterloo Place. The new centre, located in the heart of the city centre and adjacent to the historic City Walls, will be the new hub for tourists to the city and area looking for advice and information on the top attractions to visit and what events are happening across the city and district. 

Tourism NI’s Chief Executive Visits Derry~Londonderry Tourism Industry

The Chief Executive of Tourism NI, John McGrillen, recently visited Derry~Londonderry to meet with local tourism industry representatives, as well as Councillor Brian Tierney, Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, and Odhran Dunne, CEO Visit Derry.

NWRC new Safe and Alert Accreditation for Hospitality Businesses

North West Regional College (NWRC) Business Support Centre (BSC) has developed a new Health and Safety Working Practices course for hospitality businesses.  It is relevant to restaurants, cafes, takeaways, food vans and restaurants within hotels. All participants will gain an appreciation and understanding of relevant legislation and guidance from the government and other relevant agencies such as the Health and Safety Executive and its application to their business. 

City of Derry Airport Increased Flight Schedule Takes Off

This week see’s City of Derry Airport’s flight schedule increase with Loganair’s London Stansted service increasing in frequency, Loganair’s Glasgow service returning and the recommencement of Ryanair’s Edinburgh and Liverpool services.
