Shakespeare on the Hill - Much Ado About Nothing

About

Love, laughter, and a battle of wits under the summer sky…

Following the huge success of A Midsummer Night’s Dream on Hill of The O’Neill, Bardic Theatre returns in partnership with Mid Ulster District Council with another dazzling outdoor production of Much Ado About Nothing.

From the 27th  to 29th August 2026, prepare for an evening of wit, romance, and razor-sharp banter as Shakespeare’s most entertaining battle of words unfolds under the open air. Sparks fly between Beatrice and Benedick in a story packed with mischief, mistaken identity, and laugh-out-loud moments.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Hill of The O’Neill, this lively production promises unforgettable performances, vibrant energy, and a magical atmosphere.

As Beatrice herself declares, “I had rather hear my dog bark at a crow than a man swear he loves me!” expect bold humour, sharp tongues, and a night to remember.

Gather your friends and family, and settle in for an evening where laughter rings out and stories come to life beneath the stars. Whether you’re a lifelong Shakespeare fan or discovering the magic for the first time, this production offers something for everyone.

Book early as this is not to be missed!

This event takes place in an Covered Outdoor Event Space.  Please dress appropriately for the weather.
