Share the energy and excitement of the Mayor’s One Big Weekend with a full programme of entertainment and fundraising events across Derry and Strabane on 24th/25th of May, 2025. The weekend includes Supercar Saturday, a spectacular car showcase in Guildhall Square; Derry Rocks for Bud Club, a high-energy live concert at the Guildhall; and Feel the Beat, an Afrobeats-inspired club night at St Columb’s Hall.
All proceeds from the weekend support The Bud Club, a local charity that helps young people with additional needs thrive.
Supercar Saturday
Supercar Saturday takes place on Saturday 24th (12:30pm–5pm) as the city centre is transformed by the roar of over 35 luxury vehicles. Expect Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches and more, plus live DJs, a gaming truck, and street food for the whole family.

Derry Rocks for Bud Club
Derry Rocks for Bud Club will light up the Guildhall on Saturday 24th (7:30pm–midnight), featuring The Yacht Rock Show by Mindbenders, Ritchie Remo, and Black Paddy. Tickets are £15 and available from Eventbrite and Guildhall Reception.

Mayor's Afrobeats
Mayor’s Afrobeats - Feel the Beat brings the weekend to a powerful close on Sunday 25th (7:30PM – 1am), with DJs spinning the best in Afrobeats, house, and dance at St Columb’s Hall. Miss African Ireland will make a guest appearance at this event, with a host of young people, running the dance floor into a catwalk to showcase African fashion and design – A vibrant celebration of culture, creativity, and community spirit.
