Crann Beatha Doire Foodie Cycle

Various City Centre Locations, Derry
Crann Beatha Doire Foodie Cycle

About

The Crann Beatha - Tree of Life - café in downtown Derry is the ultimate destination of the tour. Situated in Doire- or Derry’s Irish language centre, Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin, it is a local family-run business providing a heart-warming menu of beverages and treats.

Starting at Far and Wild’s base in St Columb’s Park or Páirc Naomh Colmcille in Doire Trasna, Derry’s Waterside- the tour crosses the iconic Peace Bridge as it progresses along the city’s beautiful greenway.

On the way- or ar an mbealach- we stop at our old favorite Pyke N’ Pommes pod on the waterfront for a savoury taco in the hand and learn about the mighty Abhainn Fheabhail - or River Foyle- and Celtic Sea God Manannan MacLir.

For afters it is a short distance to Crann Beatha Caife where a warm drink and sweet treat awaits, all wrapped up in some helpful words of Irish like ‘bia blasta!’, our local version of ‘Bon Appetit!’, literally meaning ‘tasty food’.

Ideal of beginners or those new to Irish and to friendship or family groups with a little bit of fitness and a huge sense of adventure, Crann Beatha Doire Cycle Tour is the 2026 Foodie tour to leave you lán agus ag gáire - full and laughing.
