As the hustle and bustle of Christmas winds down and the New Year's celebrations await, there's a delightful in-between period known as Twixmas – a magical time to extend the festive spirit with your loved ones.  

The term ‘Twixmas’ comes from old English ‘betwixt’ meaning between and has been used to describe the limbo period between the hustle & bustle of Christmas and the New Year excitement; typically, 27th–30th December. Whether you have lively little ones to entertain or are looking to take things slow, there is plenty for all in the Walled City & District this ‘Twixmas.’

If you feel like you have been indoors too much over the Festive period, then take the opportunity to get out and get some fresh air! From walks along the Quay with the locals, to leisurely strolls through Brooke Park; there are plenty of opportunities within the Walled City to get those steps in!
