After almost a decade of planning and development the 22nd July has been confirmed as the date for the public opening of Derry's iconic new Peacemakers Museum. 

The 12th City of Derry International Choir Festival returns this autumn from the 23rd to 27th of October and this year will see the largest ever number of participating choirs the festival has had since its inaugural year as part of the 2013 City of Culture programme.  

Northern Ireland’s largest airline easyJet has today announced it is expanding its network with the introduction of flights to and from City of Derry Airport for the first time.

It’s been two years since the River Foyle played host to one of the country’s biggest nautical celebrations and this year the suspense is building as Derry prepares to unveil the exciting new look Foyle Maritime Festival on June 27^th.

With just five weeks to go, today saw the official launch of the internationally acclaimed Foyle Maritime Festival, a celebratory sea-faring extravaganza!

The Port in Derry-Londonderry, which is celebrating its 170th anniversary this year, is expected to host nine different cruise lines and six inaugural calls between May and September.

A dynamic programme of events both on and off the water are being planned to celebrate the 2024 Foyle Maritime Festival, which returns to the city’s riverfront for four days from Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th of June.

With just a few weeks to go until one of the biggest music celebrations in the country, the City of Derry Jazz and Big Band Festival Guinness Jazz Trail is now live.

The take-off of Ryanair’s new year-round Birmingham service from City of Derry Airport on Wednesday 3rd April 2024 provided a well-earned cause for celebration with Jade Kirwan, Ryanair’s Head of Communications, and the Mayor of Derry City & Strabane District Council, Cllr Patricia Logue, in attendance to mark the occasion.
