Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin is a £4million, purpose-built Irish language, cultural and enterprise centre based in the Walled City's historic Great James Street area. It acts as a hub for a variety of different cultural and arts organisations throughout the Northwest region.An impressive adddition to the city's skyline, it has become a beacon for language and culture enthusiasts, greatly enhancing access to services and facilities for the city’s Irish speaking community. It is also a symbol of the ongoing economic regeneration of the city.
Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin includes a 200 seat theatre, a multi-purpose arts centre and conference centre. The in house Caife offers an impressive home baked and deli range, as well as a traditional Irish lunch menu. The produce is locally sourced and home made, with some sourced in the Cultúrlann's own roof garden.
All facilities are open to both Irish and English speakers.
