Derry chef Ian Orr to appear on Saturday Kitchen Live
Derry’s very own celebrity chef, Ian Orr, will be cooking up a storm this Saturday (November 24) on popular TV show ‘BBC Saturday Kitchen Live’.
The local ambassador and chef patron of Browns Bonds Hill Group will feature alongside chef Rene Redzepi from two-Mitchelin star restaurant Noma in Copenhagen – which was voted the best restaurant in the world on numerous occasions.
The mulit-award winning chef is keeping his new dish under wraps for now, but hopes it will tempt the tast-buds of the show’s special guest, Alfie Boe.
He said: “I’m really looking forward to cooking on Saturday Kitchen with such a prestigious line up, this will be my third time on the show and it’s a real privilege to now have a regular slot.
“I’m used to cooking live in front of an audience in my restaurants, at regular cooking demonstrations and at various events I appear at representing our city and Northern Ireland.
This show is a great platform to showcase not only Browns restaurants and our fantastic local produce, but also to put our LegenDerry city on the map.”
